Six Qualities Go Getters have in Common

Sometimes I get off task and out of focus. For the life of me I can’t understand how this happens. It seems like the people around me I admire the most are so driven. I admire and envy this at the same time. Whatever it is that I may have goals toward (fitness, school, my blogging) I start off solid and determined, but with time my flame whimpers out to nothing. I started to pay attention to the go getters around me and notice some things they had in common.

1. Ability to self-motivate.
People with self-motivation can find a reason and strength to complete a task, even when challenging, without giving up or needing another to encourage them. Ability to do what needs to be done, without influence from other people or situations.
There are simple tips to help you begin to train yourself to self-motivate.
Close your eyes and visualize yourself reaching your goals.
Take a moment to do something relaxing to reset your mind.
Create an award system, so you’ll have something to look forward to. Little mini celebrations are definitely motivating.
2. Never procrastinate
What has helped me majorly with procrastination is breaking down my tasks into smaller steps. You don’t have to see it to completion right away. Make a to do list. You will feel instant gratification as you cross off each item.
While doing tasks music or motivational speeches help me get through it.
Just push yourself. Remind yourself constantly comfortable situations never bring change or growth.

3. Routine sleeping schedule
Sleep deprivation causes lack of focus and motivation. Treating your body well will put you in a better place mentally. So, while we’re at it lets get more physical and eat balanced diets.
4. Prayer meditation life
Meditation reforms negative thinking. Meditation also helps eliminate anxiety, depression, and addiction.
Prayer centers you and connects you to a higher power.
5. Organization
Cleaning up your environment or workspace will help. I can always get more done in a decluttered environment.
Multitasking doesn’t benefit all of us. Focus! Do one thing at a time so you don’t get discouraged from being overwhelmed.
6. Full believe in their dream and capabilities.
If you fail, pick yourself up and try again. Its easier to build confidence in self when you reflect back on a time in your life when you met a goal.
Remind yourself every day that you are the creator of your future. You are completely responsible for the choices you make.

It is my suggestion, whatever you are working hard for in life, make sure it is your passion. Everyday no matter how busy life gets, do something you enjoy. Sometimes it’s the simple things that keep us centered.
